Adrian Corker’s 2022 album “Since it Turned Out Something Else” was described by Electronic Sound Magazine as ‘Intensely and startlingly brilliant’.
His final season score for Rowan Joffe’s Tin Star (Sky Atlantic / Amazon) came 2nd in Mojo Magazine’s Soundtrack of the Year, pipped only by Warren Ellis.
“Utilising a 12-piece string section alongside brass, percussion and inner-city field recordings Corker creates an urban tone poem of drip-drip tension and creeping dread that moves from the slow-motion impressionism of Toru Takemitsu to the wintry string drones of Richard Skelton, simultaneously serving the demands of a mainstream TV drama while dismantling the tradition.”
Corker runs the groundbreaking labels SN Variations and Constructive which together have released music by John Cage, Oliver Leith, conductor/composer Jack Sheen & most recently Tujiko Noriko and sound designer Paul Davies’ score to Aneil Karia’s debut feature “Surge” starring Ben Whishaw.
His past scores include Florian Hoffmeister’s (Tár) directorial films “Three Degrees Colder” and “The Have-Nots” and Antonia Bird’s cult classic “Face” starring Robert Carlyle and Ray Winstone.
In Summer 2023 he completed an installation for Mode’s 2023 Tokyo Festival in collaboration with Japanese film composer Takuma Watanabe.
